Do you enjoy dancing? Do you remember the last time you danced? What was the occasion?
My lesson this week.

Not a fan of stuff like this, but it's worth a shot.

The paperback version is coming soon. Now for a much-needed mental break (I have three short items on my to-do list ahead of book 3, but rest assured that one is largely outlined and ready to write.)

Your Bookshelf is Impressive

You collect books because you can't imagine doing anything else. You've never met anyone who loves books as much as you do.

It's hard for you to resist almost any book. Sure, you prefer good ones, but you've acquired plenty of weird and mediocre and just plain bad books too.

Your favorite book tends to be the one that you just finished reading. And with you, that can change on a weekly (or even daily) basis.

You read for all sorts of reasons - to relax, to learn, to grow, to laugh. You have books for every occasion and craving.

Your book collection is completely out of control and impossible to organize. You have books in every single room of the house.

You're constantly borrowing, lending, buying, selling, and trading books. You love to share the joy of reading with everyone you know.

Well, besides food and a day off work and putting up all the Christmas decorations (how many Nativity scenes does one house need? At least two plus the "Peanuts" one at my house) and the food and movies and did I mention food, it's about the presents, right?

I may never have to watch broadcast TV again:

"Titanic" by Julian Fellowes
"A Night to Remember" from the Criterion Collection
"Downton Abbey" series 1&2
"NCIS: Season Eight"
"The Definitive Titanic Documentary Collection"
A&E's "Mysterious Cities of Ancient Rome"
"The Tudors: The Complete Series" (EEEEEEEEE!)

And as for books:
"Death Comes to Pemberley"
"The Complete Equine Veterinary Handbook"
"Weird US Continued"
"The Myth of Titanic"

And the soundtrack to "Casino Royale."

Bold the ones you have and use at least once a year, italicize the ones you have and don't use, strike through the ones you have had but got rid of.

How many pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers, blenders,, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers*, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese boards, cheese knives, crepe makers, electric woks, miniature salad spinners, griddle pans, jam funnels, pie funnels, meat thermometers, filleting knives,, egg poachers, cake stands, garlic crushers, martini glasses, tea strainers, bamboo steamers, pizza stones, coffee grinders**, filter coffee machines, expresso machines, milk frothers, piping bags, banana stands, fluted pastry wheels, tagine dishes, conical strainers, rice cookers, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, spaetzle makers, cookie presses, gravy strainers, double boilers (bains marie), sukiyaki stoves, ice cream makers, popcorn machines, fondue sets, healthy-grills, home smokers, tempura sets, tortilla presses, electric whisks, cherry stoners, sugar thermometers***, food processors, stand mixers, mincers, bacon presses, bacon slicers, mouli mills, cake testers, pestle-and-mortars, gratin dishes, apple corers, mango stoners, cake slices, and sets of kebab skewers languish dustily at the back of the world's cupboards?

*It's called a PARISIENNE SCOOP. Actually, okay, in school, we called it "not a melon baller."

**I would use the coffee grinder if I could freakin' FIND the coffee grinder. I KNOW I own one.

*** If by "sugar thermometer" they mean "candy thermometer"

Um, some of these...I mean, I have a "mincer", it's called "a utility knife." A "bain marie" (which is NOT a double-boiler) just means "water bath" as in putting custards in a hotel pan with water half up and while I have seen deliberately sold sets of double boilers it's easier just to put a bowl over the pot.

So, I have so much stuff up on eBay now it's almost worth getting an eBay store...

Yeah. Estate auction. Where I somehow wound up wholesale-buying some REALLY NICE rings that aren't old at all.

And of course what doesn't rate eBay wound up on Etsy....

Vote for Puff in the Thundershirt contest! He could be in a Thundershirt commercial, or win Thundershirt merchandise (which he would appreciate as he wears his shirt. A lot.)
